It is one of the most popular tourist sports in Mexico and it’s known to have a curse. The people who live there believe that if they don’t keep on hanging dolls on trees and from homes then they will be cursed.

Years ago, a guy name Santana had a family of a wife and a daughter. One day he left and didn’t come back for years. His wife committed suicide and the girl died of starvation in a nearby river. When Santana came back and found out about what happened, he hung the dolls he had got for his daughter from the trees and hung himself from the tree near the river. From that day onwards the people hang dolls there. The dolls rot and wither away giving the island a dead, zombie like look.
