Italy- the land of living history and splendor! When you travel to Italy, apart from the Vatican, the attractions of Rome and the dream gondola ride in Venice, there is one more place, which you absolutely must visit and that’s Pisa. Yes, whenever we think of Pisa, we think of the leaning tower of Pisa. Yes, but apart from this tower, there are several other attractions in Pisa. The Piazza del Duomo or Campo dei Miracoli holds one of the oldest Roman inspired buildings and monuments in Italy. Some of them date back to 1155!
Then of course, here is the Torre di Pisa or the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Its 54 meters tall and was completed in the 14th century and the weirdest part is that it’s tilted and it still stands! This place also holds the Duomo, which was built in 1053, the Baptistery, which is made in white marble with decorations depiction life of Jesus. All the noble citizens of Pisa are buried in the Camposanto and the Santa Maria della Spina is an old gothic church next to the river Arno River.
